Area residents are invited to get lost in some farm fun.
Eagle Acres Farm opens its fifth annual corn maze on Saturday, Aug. 30. The maze, at 8796 240 St. 鈥 the Glen Valley neighbourhood 鈥 runs daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Monday, Oct. 13.
With corn standing 14 feet tall and spread across three acres, the maze challenges visitors to think their way out while leading them to a lookout bridge with sweeping views of mountains and forest.
Guests can also enjoy hayrides, explore the pumpkin patch, and meet more than 200 farm animals 鈥 including kittens lounging on a cat tree, Gourd the pony, and even R2D2, the farm鈥檚 milking robot.
Erin Anderson, who owns the farm with her husband, Brian, said the pumpkin patch and animal interactions remain the biggest draw.
鈥淧eople look forward to the hands-on aspects, like feeding, hand milking, and animal connections,鈥 she said. 鈥淥ur corn maze is the only one in 91原创, and its design changes every year.鈥
Erin said the maze takes about 20 to 30 minutes for people to complete and is considered family-friendly.
Each ticket includes access to animals, hayrides, and interactive demonstrations like the milking robot, animal feeding, and the cat tree wall.
Safety is also a top priority. Erin said visitors receive an overhead map to help them find their way out of the maze if needed.
This year, guests can also relax at the farm鈥檚 new patio lounge with ice cream or beverages.
