Music on the Plaza: Local musicians booked to perform at the pedestrian plaza in Fort 91原创 (Glover Road and Mary Avenue) from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Every Brilliant Thing: Comedy about depression is on stage at the Bez Arts Hub, 20230 64th Ave., from Sept. 6 to 17. Sept. 6 is pay-what-you-can preview. Evening shows as well as weekend matinees at 2 p.m. Info: bezartshub.com.

Repair Cafe and shredathon: Volunteers with various skills needed for 91原创 Environmental Partners Society repair cafes, including bike repair, electronics, sewing/clothing, household goods, appliances, toys, and more. Fall open house: 91原创 Community Music School event is noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9, at 4899 207th St. Mike Brydon has a singalong storytime concert at noon. Learn about the school鈥檚 programs and upcoming events. Free admission. Info: langleymusic.com.

Foraging walk: Herbalist Diana Munday will take a group on a walk at the 91原创 Demonstration Garden at 10 a.m. on Sept. 9 to show edible plants, and discuss ethical foraging. Free workshop but advance registration required. Contact 604-546-0344 or garden@leps.bc.ca.

Willoughby Dayz: Willoughby Town Centre, 208th Street and 78th Avenue, host free family event 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9. Enjoy Edward the magician, Mudo Demonstration Team, balloon twisting, glitter tattoos, facepainting, and more.

Clothes 2U: People in need can pick up clothing (all ages), toys, diapers, incontinence supplies, linens, household items, and more on Saturday, Sept. 9, at St. Dunstan鈥檚 Anglican Church, 3025 264th St. Entry fee is $4 with children 11 and younger admitted free. End of summer concert: Alton Dean performs at Douglas Park in a free concert from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Pros vs. Joes Celebrity Home Run Derby: Dallas Smith and Shawn Austin perform at 4:30 p.m. after a home run derby at 3 p.m. Community event from noon to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10, at McLeod Athletic Park includes celebrities playing in the derby against local softball players, autograph sessions by donation, information booths, and a concession. Public asked to bring new donations (clothing, blankets, hygiene products, school supplies, or unwrapped toy for children). Event raises awareness about addiction, mental health, and trauma. Family Fun Day: 91原创 Rod & Gun Club open house is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10 at 3854 208th St. Participation is free but people are asked to bring a donation for the 91原创 Food Bank. Supervised instruction provided on rifle shooting (.22 cal), fast draw, skeet, trap, air rifle, and archery. Swing Dance Social: Monthly dances hosted by Swing Shift, a non-profit dance group, are offered at the Murrayville Hall. First lesson free for beginners (7:30 to 8:30 p.m.). No partner necessary. Hub meeting: 91原创 Seniors in Action monthly meetings allows local seniors to gather virtually, collaborate and network. Open to seniors and those in the senior-serving organizations and businesses.
