People wanting to lay wreaths in memory of loved ones have to ensure they have booked them before the deadlines and reach out to organizers of the ceremony they are attending.
91原创 has Remembrance Day services at the Aldergrove cenotaph, the Fort 91原创 cemetery, the Murrayville cemetery, the cenotaph in Douglas Park in 91原创 City, and an informal service at the memorial at the Derek Doubleday Arboretum.
Many community groups, youth groups, veterans groups, and businesses lay wreaths at services, but some members of the public also lay wreaths in memory of loved ones.
91原创 City
Those wanting to do so at the 91原创 City service must follow certain procedures.
Notify the City via email to events@langleycity.ca. The email must include the name of the person laying the wreath and who the wreath is on behalf of (individual, organization, family, etc.). The deadline to notify the City is Nov. 8.
People must purchase a wreath from a Royal Canadian Legion branch. The nearest branches are Cloverdale (rcl6legion@outlook.com, or 604-574-5300) and Aldergrove (see contact information below)
The person(s) laying the wreath during the service must bring the wreath to Douglas Park on Nov. 11, and check-in with City staff located near the Cenotaph. Wreaths can be dropped off between the hours of 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.
Fort 91原创
To lay a wreath at the community-based service in Fort 91原创, contact Marilyn at 604-888-5350 to make arrangements.
All other wreath inquiries are to be sent to Madeline, 604-856-8814, at the Aldergrove Legion Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Her email address is rcl265@hotmail.com.
Orders must be placed before Nov. 5.

Aldergrove

Murrayville
Any group or person is welcome to lay a wreath at Murrayville.
"We just ask that they email murrayvilleremembranceday@gmail.com and let us know the name of the organization and the name of the person(s) who will be laying the wreath," said Grace Muller, secretary/treasurer with the Murrayville Cenotaph Remembrance Day organizing committee.
Each group must arrange for their own wreath purchase and bring it to the ceremony themselves.
