Mobil 1 Lube Express 91原创's two locations are hosting a food drive over the Valentine's Day and Family Day weekend to help those struggling to afford food.
"The 91原创 Food Bank is facing a surge in demand, with 80 new families needing support in just the past 60 days 鈥� an increase of 40 families per month," general manager Adam Coleman noted. "As more families turn to the food bank, supplies are running low, and they need our help."
From Friday, Feb. 14 to Sunday, Feb. 16, the two locations, 20010 64th Ave. and 20966 56th Ave. 鈥� are accepting donations of non-perishable, non-expired food and cash.
"As a thank-you, receive 10 per cent off your oil change and a complimentary car wash on the day of your donation," Coleman explained. "Mobil 1 Lube Express 91原创 will also donate a portion of our earnings from the weekend."
The goal is to amass 1,000 pounds of food and $1,000 in cash donations. He encouraged people to check out the food bank wishlist to see what items are most needed.
"This Family Day, let鈥檚 make sure no family goes without," he added.
