The Downtown 91原创 Business Association (DLBA) is looking for help from the community to give special banners to veterans who took part in the first Remembrance Day banner campaign.
A decade ago, the business group paid for large fabric banners to be created. They features the photos of local military veterans.
A new group of banners has been created, with some new veteran photos added, and now the DLBA wants to give banners from the first campaign to any living veterans who took part, or to their families, as a special gift.
鈥淲e are absolutely delighted to be able to offer the first-run banners to the families at no cost to them,鈥 said DLBA executive director Teri James. 鈥淎ll we ask is that they contact our office at reception@downtownlangley.com or call 604-539-0133 to make arrangements to come pick them up. If anyone recognizes someone in one of the images, please contact the family and let them know about this so they don鈥檛 miss out.鈥
The business group doesn鈥檛 have contact information for the veterans and is hoping the community can help connect it to the vets and families.
