Heritage enthusiast and retired broadcaster Mark Forsythe has officially serialized his podcast.

The second in an ongoing series of broadcast shows called Valley Voices has been released to the world.

In this month鈥檚 edition, the 91原创 Heritage Society host interviews fellow historian Warren Sommer 鈥 also of 91原创 鈥 about one of 91原创鈥檚 Nursing Sisters, Jessie Middleton.

鈥淭his is the 100th anniversary of the end of the Great War,鈥 Forsythe explained.

鈥淭he role of nursing sisters 鈥 who saved countless lives 鈥 is profound, and mostly lost. Warren Sommer tells us about their origins, and we meet Jessie Middleton, a 91原创 nursing sister who served in the Second World War and today lives in Abbotsford.鈥

Also on this month鈥檚 broadcast, Forsythe and Sharn Sandhra explore the history of Canada鈥檚 oldest Sikh temple in Abbotsford, he delves into a new Facebook site in the Valley called Our Chilliwack History (similar to the We Call it Haney Facebook page set up in Maple Ridge).

He also hears about stories from the Round Up Cafe in Whalley.

Anyone with suggestions for aspects of 91原创 and Fraser Valley history that they鈥檇 like to hear on Valley Voices can email to: info@langleyheritage.ca. Forsythe noted that the original story about his podcast has already generated some ne story ideas for him, thankful that people are sharing.
