鈥� Student patrols at the Otter School crossing of Fraser Highway were ordered removed by the school board, following a PTA (Parent-Teachers Association) claim that their lives were being endangered. PTA members agreed to guard the crossing until an adult guard could be hired.
鈥� High winds were blamed for black-outs throughout the Fraser Valley, including serious damages in north Aldergrove and south 91原创.

鈥� Township council expressed displeasure with a recreation commission report on a 鈥渇amily-oriented regional recreation centre and pool.鈥� Mayor George Driediger called for a referendum.
鈥� A plebescite taken earlier in the year on toll-free telephone service between Aldergrove and Vancouver was deemed incomplete and unacceptable by the CRTC. The 58 per cent of those polled who favoured toll-free service actually represented only a third of all subscribers in the area.
