鈥 E.E. Sendall, secretary of the Poultrymen鈥檚 Association, predicted a successful year for 1949, crediting major flock improvements over the previous three years increasing farmers鈥 profit margins.

鈥 Fernridge ratepayers were to vote on a $2 annual levy to support their community hall 鈥 through a bylaw that was initially believed precluded by the Municipal Act.
鈥 O.T. Gustavson wanted to get out of the water supply business, and wanted council to take over his system which was serving 24 residences.
鈥 Affected property owners were to vote on proposed changes to the Murrayville street-lighting boundaries, as well as on rate increases.
