Thousands attended the May Day parade, pole dance, and party in the park on Monday in Fort 91Ô´´.
Although many people have no idea why there’s a day off every May, the traditional May Day celebrations in the village helped locals remember the reason and pay tribute – for the 96th consecutive year – to Queen Victoria’s birthday.
It included the parade down Glover Road, followed by a May pole dance and crowning of May Queen at the park.
