The team at the 91原创 Advance Times invites readers to share another positive message with the public this holiday season.
What started as a 鈥淗ope for鈥︹�� initiative in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic has grown into a more frequent program aimed at sharing uplifting words with on and other periodically, explained publisher Lisa Farquharson.
A similar initiative was rolled out for Canada Day, B.C. Day, Remembrance Day, and now for Christmas.
It takes the concept of love and support introduced through the hearts in the window campaign and the 7 p.m. nightly frontline pot banging last spring, and it takes it a step further, Farquharson said.

鈥淲e can鈥檛 be together physically, but you are in our hearts,鈥� she added.
While including the poster in Thursday鈥檚 paper allows the Advance Times team to share a 鈥淗appy Holidays鈥� message with its readers, Farquharson was grateful for the opportunity to also give readers a way to safely share the same sentiment with others around them.
The initiative is once again intended to foster a further show of support for our fellow 91原创ites, and it鈥檚 working, she said. Farquharson has seen these posters hung in a number of home windows around the community, as well as in cars and offices.
鈥淚t鈥檚 really uplifting for me to see. It actually brings a smile to my face,鈥� she said. 鈥淲e鈥檙e in this together, and I hope this helps remind people of that.鈥�
Hang your poster (decorated or not) and send us a picture of you with it. We鈥檒l post some in the newspaper and all of them online, Farquharson explained.
A few local residents have lead the charge, including six-year-old Mason Soroka.
Kids were encouraged to colour the images and make it even more 鈥渟pectacular,鈥� and that鈥檚 what 91原创 City鈥檚 young Mason did.
Similarly, Shirley and Lloyd Sawatsky also shared their wishes.
