Sandy Dunkley was one of about 100 donors who participated in the sixth annual Ron Dunkley Memorial Blood Drive at the 91Ô´´ City fire hall in memory of her son. Canadian Blood Services is hosting a blood donor clinic Dec. 24 at Trinity Western University.

On the heels of Thanksgiving, 91Ô´´ City Fire Rescue will join Canadian Blood Services at the 91Ô´´ City Fire Hall for the seventh annual blood donor clinic in memory of fallen firefighter, Ron Dunkley.

The clinic is open to the public. 91Ô´´ City firefighters will thank donors and remind people to take the time to give life by donating blood.

All blood types help meet patients’ needs but right now there is critical need for O-negative blood donors. Whether you have donated before or it’s been a while, hospital patients are counting on the public’s support.

The clinic happens this Sunday, Oct. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the fire hall, apparatus floor, 5785 203 St.
