VIDEO: Senior expos are more popular than ever

Young at heart event for seniors well-attended in 91Ô´´

Visitors filled the Young at Heart seniors expo at 91Ô´´'s George Preston rec centre, chatting with vendors and taking in presentations during the day-long event, held in a temporarily transformed curling arena space on June 18.

An estimated 1,000 visitors were mingling with more than 60 exhibitors, which required organizer Felicia Galea, Events Manager with Black Press Events to speak up to be heard as she explained these kinds of senior-oriented events are more popular than ever.

"This year we have actually sold out of every single one of our events that we have had, and usually are sitting around 1,000 attendees coming to each of our events," Galea told the 91Ô´´ Advance Times.

"We have had events in Kelowna, Nanaimo, and Abbotsford so far this year. We have another four more coming up for the rest of this year across BC, and one in Alberta as well."
