Golfers come through for babies

An autographed Gibson guitar, signed by country msuic superstars Tim McGraw, Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Toby Keith, and Hunter Hayes, fetched $10,000 during a charity auction in 91原创 last month.

That was just one milestone reached during the second annual Boys of Fall charity golf tournament, hosted by none other than 芒鈧搕he boys,芒鈧 Chad Brownlee and Dallas Smith.

The two 91原创ites, both country music stars in their own right, conceived of the tournament following their Boys of Fall national tour in 2012.

After that, the dynamic duo 芒鈧 as they jokingly call themselves 芒鈧 was searching for ways to make a difference in their community, and the boys made a decision to support JRfm芒鈧劉s Basics for Babies campaign in its vision of a hunger-free future.

The first annual event raised $14,000 and the duo hoped to double that this year. They definitely exceeded those expectations.

Mission accomplished, said Smith, astonished they raised $75,000.

芒鈧揥e are thankful to everyone who came out to support this great cause,芒鈧 Smith said.

芒鈧揑 am amazed and humbled by how much money was raised at this year芒鈧劉s tournament,芒鈧 Brownlee added. 芒鈧揇allas and I are so grateful to all our sponsors, golfers, volunteers, and to everyone who attended. It was an amazing and rewarding day for all of us.芒鈧

The event saw 144 golfers play 18 holes at The Redwoods Golf Club, then more than 450 people partook of a country feast and live performances by Brownlee and Smith.

The biggest difference between 2013 and 2014 were the incredibly generous business owners and local philanthropists that opened their wallets to snap up items, Brownlee said.

In addition to the guitar being auctioned off for $10,000, there were a number of other auction items that helped generate 芒鈧揵ig coin芒鈧 including a VIP private concert from Brownlee and Smith Dallas at the buyer芒鈧劉s home or place of work.

Plans for the 2015 charity golf tournament are already underway, said coordinator Melanie Vautour, who is already hunting for volunteers and sponsors. To find out more, people can email Mel at info@boysoffallcharity.com.

芒鈧揚lans are already underway for next year,芒鈧 she said. 芒鈧揥e plan to raise the bar yet again & hope to raise $100,000.芒鈧
