Looking for unique, one-of-a-kind gifts to give or perhaps a cozy little something for yourself?
The Beyond Fibre artisan sale, happening in Fort 91原创 Nov. 8 and 9, features woven, knitted, spun and felted clothing, accessories and items for the home that have been handcrafted by 91原创 Weavers鈥� and Spinners鈥� Guild members. The sale also features jewelry, pottery, leather work and mixed media by other local artists.
Beyond Fibre will take place at the Fort 91原创 Community Hall, 9167 Glover Road, on Saturday, Nov. 8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is by donation and enters visitors in the hourly door prize draw. The guild boasts more than 100 members, who live and work in 91原创, Surrey, Abbotsford, Mission, Maple Ridge, Chilliwack, and Vancouver.
Guild members will present spinning and weaving demonstrations throughout the event, showing visitors how clothing is made.
Fibre artists are invited to visit the wool room at the sale to stock up on yarn, fibre, supplies and equipment.
