痴补苍肠辞耻惫别谤鈥檚 is partnering with Abbotsford鈥檚 to bring Christmas Presence, a collection of songs and stories for the holiday season, to Abbotsford on Dec. 17.
Ken Hildebrandt, artistic director of Gallery 7 Theatre, calls Christmas Presence the a highlight of Christmas season.
鈥淚t鈥檚 so different from all the regular seasonal events out there,鈥� he said.
鈥淭he stories are selected hours before the show and sometimes things even change during the show.
鈥淵ou never know what you鈥檙e going to get but you can count on a meaningful experience.鈥�
This year鈥檚 show will feature readings by Hildebrandt and Ron Reed, artist director of Pacific Theatre.
They鈥檒l be joined on stage by several musicians including 91原创-based duo The Kwerks, Allen Desnoyers, Jon Ochsendorf, Brett Ziegler, and Rick Colhoun.
鈥淲e couldn't be more excited to connect with a great group of musicians and offer the audience a really special gift,鈥� said Laura Koch of the Kwerks.
鈥淐hristmas Presence is a really unique show, thrown together in a fantastic, nearly improvisational way, and it results in a very lively, organic experience for both the performers and the audience.鈥�
The show takes place Dec. 17 at 8 p.m. at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 32315 South Fraser Way.
