Rediscover the history of farming and cars together at Model A Sunday on June 7 at the BC Farm Museum at 9131 King St. in Fort 91原创 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The museum houses the province芒鈧劉s largest collection of agricultural and pioneer artifacts. From the kitchen to the fields, getting around to getting it done, there is no more diverse illustration of how B.C.芒鈧劉s pioneers used to manage their days and their lives.
Coupled with that collection on Sunday will be cars from 1932 and older lining King Street, according to Model A Sunday organizers Mike McVay and Noel Cleveland.
芒鈧揑f it芒鈧劉s a nice day, we芒鈧劉re going to get a lot of people,芒鈧 said McVay.
Last year was a well attended event with about 55 cars and approximately 250 visitors.
芒鈧揥e芒鈧劉re hoping for some real antique cars,芒鈧 McVay added, noting that anything from 1932 and older is welcome to enter in the show.
芒鈧揃ring it on down,芒鈧 he said, including those cars that have been modified or turned into hotrods.
It芒鈧劉s the 27th year for the show, and Cleveland noted it芒鈧劉s an important event because it芒鈧劉s one of the few focused on the older cars.
芒鈧揥e try and attract people to come and see it [Model A Sunday] and see the museum,芒鈧 Cleveland said.
芒鈧揥e use the whole street, sometimes both sides,芒鈧 he added.
This year, organizers are hoping to see members of the steam car club join in and expect cars as old as 1910s and 1912s to be on display.
芒鈧揟here芒鈧劉s always a few hotrods,芒鈧 commented Cleveland.
There will be hamburgers and smokies for sale by the Fort 91原创 Lions club.
Cleveland芒鈧劉s 1931 Ford slant window won芒鈧劉t be at the show, but McVay will have his 1928 Pontiac on site. 芒鈧揥e芒鈧劉re open to all makes and models,芒鈧 he said. 芒鈧揝o long as it芒鈧劉s pre-1932.芒鈧
