There芒鈧劉s one last chance for any aspiring 91原创 performing artists to be crowned the best before 91原创 Has Talent fades off into the sunset.
The annual talent competition, hosted by the four 91原创 Rotary Clubs, has served its purpose and 2015 will be the final year, announced founder and organizer Peter Luongo.
Therefore, he芒鈧劉s encouraging any artists, including dance groups, comedians, jugglers, instrumental musicians, Cirque-like gymnasts, bands, and singers to audition.
The first of three rounds of auditions are being held this Saturday at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, with the first 20 contenders set to try out between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Any others who apply (at www.langleyhastalent.com) will audition on either Feb. 7 or 14.
Luongo confirmed this will be the last year.
When formed, the LHT committee mandated it would run the show for five years, to draw awareness to the need for a theatre, and to assess if there was sufficient support from the community (including the arts community) for such a facility.
Luongo said the feasibility study performed last year indicates an interest, and hopes the community as a whole will get behind the efforts and help move it forward.
