The world is about to see Billy Hsueh try to fool a famous illusionist duo on their realty-television show.

Friday, April 4 is the air date for the Surrey-based magician's appearance on , on the CW Network.

Hsueh (pronounced Shway) will attempt to fool the legendary Las Vegas headliners with an original illusion of his own creation 鈥� a rare feat in the world of magic. Winning magicians are given the coveted 鈥淔U Trophy鈥� and an opportunity to perform in Vegas as part of Penn & Teller鈥檚 live show.

鈥淚 started magic here in Vancouver, and this is where I learned to connect with people through performance,鈥� Hsueh says. 鈥淏eing able to showcase my original illusion on Fool Us is a dream come true 鈥� and if I can fool Penn & Teller along the way, even better!鈥�

In mid-July, Hsueh will be off to Italy to represent Canada at the FISM World Championships of Magic, considered the 鈥淥lympics of Magic.鈥�

His "sizzle reel" is posted to Youtube as a 90-second video.

Hsueh has spent close to 18 years performing internationally, creating his own unique style of magic,  boasts. "Blending the perfect amount of magic, comedy and storytelling, Billy has perfected the recipe for an amazing show that engages his audience."

He co-founded the (staged monthly on the fourth Tuesday at the Hidden Wonders Speakeasy theatre, located behind a fake storefront in New Westminster), and travels the world performing magic. 

A lifelong Surrey resident (Fraser Heights) and proud Taiwanese-Canadian, he's , a 15,000-member organization founded in 1922.
