Cory Vallee has been found guilty of first degree murder for the slaying of gangster Kevin LeClair in 91原创 in 2009.

Vallee, also found guilty of conspiring to kill the Bacon brothers during the late-2000s gang war, gunned LeClair down on the afternoon of Feb. 6 in the Thunderbird Village parking lot in Walnut Grove, while dozens of people shopped and walked nearby.

LeClair had allegedly quit the United Nations Gang and joined up with the Bacon brothers and the Red Scorpions.

A lengthy trial that ran through most of 2017 heard that Vallee was working as a hit man for the UN Gang and that LeClair was a target because of his knowledge of his former gang鈥檚 inner workings.

Having been found guilty of first degree murder, Vallee will receive an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for at least 25 years.

He is scheduled to return to Vancouver Supreme Court on June 28 to be sentenced on the conspiracy charges.
