About 70 acres of 91原创鈥檚 Tall Timbers golf course is going up for sale, as the owners contemplate getting out of the golf business.
鈥淚t wasn鈥檛 an easy decision, it鈥檚 been in our family for 35 years,鈥 said Clayton Lindberg.
Lindberg is a real estate agent and member of the family that owns the course, and he is handling the sale of five of the eight individual lots that make up the course.
For now, the course remains open to players.
鈥淭he golf course is going to be business as usual,鈥 Lindberg said.
However, it could eventually go down to a nine-hole course.
The golf business has been difficult of late, Lindberg said.
The properties up for sale will likely become large estates. The owners will not be attempting to subdivide them before any sale.
鈥淭hey鈥檙e welcome to try to subdivide, I don鈥檛 see that happening,鈥 Lindberg said of any future buyers.
He said the area is filled with creeks and environmentally sensitive areas, and all the land of the Tall Timbers course is in the Agricultural Land Reserve.
The lots are being offered for between $2 and $3.5 million.
