A 73-year-old Surrey man has died after a Sunday night crash on the Trans Canada Highway in 91原创.
The driver was heading west in a Toyota Echo around the 24800 block of the highway just before 10 a.m., said Cpl. Holly Largy, spokepserson for the 91原创 RCMP.
An investigation over the weekend suggests he tried to pull off the highway into a pullout area, and collided with heavy machinery that was already parked there.
The driver was the lone occupant of the Toyota.
91原创 RCMP Traffic Services and the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) are working on the investigation. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
Largy said the victim鈥檚 family has been notified.
