The firsr-ever Paint the Ice event is set for April 19.

The Abbotsford Canucks are inviting everyone to skate and paint the ice at the Abbotsford Centre on Saturday (April 19).

The first-ever 'Paint the Ice' is a free event that allows fans to glide along the AC's ice for a community skate and then unleash their inner Pablo Picasso on the same surface that Canucks players compete.

Doors open for the event at 5 p.m. and fans also have the opportunity to watch the Canucks' final game of the season vs. the Ontario Reign on the AC's video board starting at 6 p.m.

Tim Hortons will be on-hand giving away free donuts and coffee to the first 300 attendees and limited concessions will be available. All skaters 14 and under must be wearing a helmet during the skate.

The Abbotsford Canucks will be hosting home playoff games starting the week of April 21. Exact dates and an opponent is still to be determined.
