Phil Di Giuseppe scored the game winning goal to extend the Abbotsford Canucks franchise record win streak to 10 games on Tuesday (April 1).

The Abbotsford Canucks hot streak over the last month is now officially historic.

The club posted a 2-1 win over the Bakersfield Condors on Tuesday (April 1) to win for the 10th consecutive game and establish a new franchise record for a win streak.

The previous record was nine games, which was set back in the 2021-22 season.

Tuesday's game didn't feature the perfect start for the Canucks, as goalie Arturs Silovs allowed a goal on the game's first shot just 15 seconds into the contest.

Condors goalie Brett Brochu then shut the door for nearly the entire rest of the game and withstood an onslaught of shots and chances from the Canucks. Abbotsford out shot Bakersfield 12-7 in the first and 11-3 in the second, but the game remained a 1-0 lead for the Condors.

Abbotsford finally beat Brochu when Tristen Nielsen burned through the Condors penalty kill and tied the game up at 9:10 of the third period. The Canucks kept pressing and that was rewarded when Phil Di Giuseppe put them up 2-1 at 16:13. That goal ultimately held up and the streak lives on.

The Canucks out shot the Condors by a staggering 37-13 in the game. Danila Klimovich led all players with six shots on goal, while Di Giuseppe and Ty Mueller both had five.

Silovs made 12 saves and he has won his last six starts and 10 of his last 11 overall. He also drew an assist on the game's first goal.

The Canucks record now moves to 38-23-2-1. They are also on pace to break the franchise record for most wins in a single season which is set at 40. There still eight games on the schedule. They sit in third place in the Pacific Division.

Abbotsford remains on the road and head south to take on the San Diego Gulls tomorrow (Wednesday). Face-off is set for 7 p.m.

The Canucks then return home for games against the Laval Rocket on Saturday (April 5) and Sunday (April 6).
