Homicide investigators have taken over the case of a missing 25-year-old man.

Navdeep Dhaliwal was last seen on April 29 and was reported missing to Surrey Police Service on April 30, 2025.

"He maintained regular contact with friends and family and therefore even this seemingly brief period without contact was highly unusual," read a Surrey Police Service news release.

Police said that based on the evidence they had obtained, they have shifted the investigation to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) as Dhaliwal's disappearance appeared "suspicious in nature."

Police asked anyone with information to call the IHIT information line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448) or by email at ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca.
