A man is in custody and faces charges following an alleged sexual assault and robbery in a Stanley Park bathroom.
Vancouver police arrested 35-year-old Hartley Ronald Duckhorn after a witness caught what was reported as a suspicious man entering the changing room near Second Beach pool around 11 a.m. on Monday (May 19), says the release from the Vancouver Police Department.
Police found a woman in her forties who had been robbed and violently assaulted, according to the release. She was taken to a hospital to have her injuries treated.
Duckhorn is charged with assault by choking, unlawful confinement, sexual assault with a weapon, robbery, uttering threat to cause death or bodily harm. He remains in custody pending a bail hearing.
