A three-vehicle crash in Surrey sent two people to hospital Sunday.
The collision, which happened at the intersection of 96 Avenue and 140 Street at approximately 10:40 a.m., caused multiple road closures in all directions as police investigate.
Both the driver and passenger of one vehicle were taken to hospital after being removed from their vehicle by Surrey Fire Service crews. Initially, police were advised that neither person's injuries were considered serious, but after further examination at hospital, the passenger appears to have suffered serious injuries, noted a Surrey Police Service release.
The cause of the collision is under investigation. Multiple road closures in all directions around the intersection of 96 Avenue and 140 Street remain in effect, but police expect to be able to reopen some directions shortly.
Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes.
