An Aldergrove woman is the Green Party of Canada candidate for the Abbotsford-South 91原创 riding.
Melissa Snazell ran for the B.C. Green Party in the last provincial election.
She is a pharmacy technician and the mother of an 18-year-old son. As well, Snazell is working on degrees in policy and geography.
"I am working on my degree in order to put myself in a position to facilitate change," she said. "I am interested in geography, the environment and sustainability and hope to learn how policy can help us make the changes necessary to protect our future on this planet. I am new to public service, since I spent many years as a single parent and worked multiple jobs; however, I am determined to be involved now in as many ways as possible."
Snazell has lived in the Fraser Valley for 25 years and in Aldergrove for the past 12.
