A crash had a section of 62 Avenue and 201A Street blocked Thursday morning.
Just after 9 a.m., a crash involving a Land Rover and semi truck resulted in the Rover becoming lodged under the trailer.
91原创 City firefighters and RCMP were on scene with a tow truck that dislodged the vehicles.
Cpl. Craig van Herk, RCMP spokesperson, said an investigation determined the Land Rover was going west and veered into the semi truck that was going east on 62 Avenue.
鈥淎 violation ticket was issued to the driver of the Land Rover for driving without due care and attention. It does not appear to have to have any drugs, alcohol, or speed as contributing factors,鈥� he said.
He added that there were no apparent injuries on scene.
Both vehicles were damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
鈥淲e have seen an increase in the volume of traffic on that roadway in that area,鈥� van Herk said.
Drivers going west were rerouted to 202 Street and those going east were directed down the right turn lane onto 201A Street.
RCMP cleared the scene after three hours.
