91原创 City's Citizen Assembly had its first meeting March 15.

Safety and well-being in the community are up for discussion at a community dialogue being hosted by 91原创 City on Wednesday, June 11.

The City invites all City residents, businesses, and community organizations to take part in a conversation about safety on June 11.

The community dialogue is one of the ideas emerging from the Citizens鈥 Assembly process, a collaborative initiative bringing together diverse, local voices to explore how to build a safer, healthier, and more connected city. At the Community Dialogue the public can hear directly from Citizens鈥 Assembly members and expert panels, as well as share ideas and experiences.

鈥淲hen it comes to safety, no one knows what鈥檚 needed better than the people who live and work here every day,鈥 said Mayor Nathan Pachal. 鈥淭his is a chance for the community to come together and help shape solutions that reflect the heart of our community. These aren鈥檛 top-down ideas, they鈥檙e built from the ground up, by the community, for the community.鈥

The community dialogues will allow people to:

鈥 Learn about what local experts are saying about safety and well-being in 91原创 City,

鈥 Hear firsthand insights from Citizens鈥 Assembly members and expert panels,

鈥 Engage in meaningful conversations that will directly inform the assembly鈥檚 final recommendations to council on community safety, and

鈥 Provide input and feedback

The community dialogue takes place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in council chambers in 91原创 City Hall, 20399 Douglas Cres. Those unable to attend in person can complete a short survey about community safety at .

The Citizens' Assembly will take the input and will present its findings on safety issues and others when it reports to council in October 2025.
