Two men have been arrested in Cloverdale after an incident allegedly involving forcible confinement, assault, and sexual assault.

The incident occurred in a 19400-block of Colebrook Road, a remote stretch near Hi-Knoll Park on the Surrey-91原创 border.

According to a Surrey Police Service (SPS) media release, the incident happened nearly a month ago on March 30.

"The RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit General Investigations Unit is investigating allegations of sexual assault and forcible confinement, which has resulted in arrests and charges laid against two individuals," Sergeant Tige Pollock, SPS media relations officer wrote in the release.

Pollock noted Mounties went to a residence on Colebrook Road, and that two adult men were arrested and charged after an investigation. Persons charged with criminal offences are considered not guilty until the charges are proven in court.

Gregory Philip "Hippy" Jolicoeur was charged with one count of "forcible confinement," one count of "assault," and one count of "sexual assault."

Coltin Charles Lipus was charged with one count of "forcible confinement" and one count of "assault."

"Jolicoeur was remanded in custody until his next scheduled court appearance on May 6, 2025," Pollock revealed. "Lipus was released from custody with strict bail conditions until his next court appearance on April 25, 2025."

Pollock added that the victim鈥檚 name and identity cannot be published as they are under a publication ban.

"Investigators are notifying the public about this case and are requesting anyone who may have information to contact the SPS non-emergency line at 604-599-0502 and quote file number 25-17070 (SU)," Pollock concluded.
