Two people were hospitalized and a 33-year-old local man was arrested after an early morning stabbing in 91原创 City, RCMP say.

Sgt. Zynal Sharoom said that 91原创 Mounties responded to reports of a disturbance in the 19800 block of 56 Avenue at about 3:40 a.m. on Thursday, May 15.

The first officers on the scene found two stabbing victims, who had apparently been attacked while outside. The officers gave the victims first aid before they were taken to local hospitals.

The suspect remains in custody as of Thursday morning, Sharoom said.

"The investigation is in its early stages and officers are continuing to gather details from the scene," he said.

Officers are working to determine the motive for the attack, and whether the suspect knew the victims, said Sharoom.
