This year’s Brookswood Community Car Show at the end of this month will be a “bigger and better event,” organizer Scott Strudwick predicted.

Held on Sunday, May 28 at Brookswood Secondary,at 20902 37A Ave., from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., expect “more food trucks, D.J. with music, facepainting, and bouncy castles,” Strudwick told the 91ԭ Advance Times, as well as an adult obstacle course for kids 12 years and older.

All donations during the event go to Brookswood Secondary, for their student programs.

“We are hoping to beat our donations of last year, that was just over $10,000,” Strudwick said.

His Strudwick Real Estate Team is helping to organize the Brookswood event, and created the show website.

Last year, despite rain that forced a last-minute shift from the sports field turf to the school parking lot, the event drew 150 car owners and thousands of visitors to the first post-pandemic edition of the annual event after two years of restrictions that prevented an in-person show.

The Brookswood event started in 2017, inspired by the fundraising success of the annual car show fundraiser at D.W. Poppy Secondary in east 91ԭ, which has been running for 30 years.
