University RCMP say a body was found at Vancouver's Wreck Beach.
Mounties received a report that an unresponsive person was found on the beach, which is near the University of British Columbia, on Wednesday (May 28) just before 7 a.m., according to a release from police Thursday. The person was declared dead at the beach.
Police say the investigation is in its early stages, but haven't yet said if criminality it believed to be a factor. University RCMP is working with the B.C. Coroners Service to determine the circumstances surrounding the person鈥檚 death.
The identity of the person has been confirm by police and next of kin has been notified.
