Concerns over who can mark provincial exams has caused a last-minute change to the tests, as students given no choice but to adapt.
On the 91原创 School District website, a note to students has been posted that the Ministry of Education has made changes to the English 10 and Social Studies 11 exam.
English 10: Students will complete the Multiple Choice Question section and one written Response question to a passage that they have read.
However, students will not be required to complete a longer written passage (essay).
In Social Studies 11, students will complete the multiple choice question section only. and won't be required to complete the essays.
Morning bus pick up times will remain the same as previously scheduled. Return runs may be earlier than previously scheduled.
Summer school is also in limbo as the BCTF has indicated it will not have teachers teaching.
Meanwhile, the B.C. Confederation of Parent Advisory Councils are pushing for bargaining reform.
"Parents want an end to the continual turmoil that disrupts our children's education and a settlement to the current dispute. This broken confrontational bargaining system has hurt children and families for too long and it must be fixed," said BCPAC president Nicole Makohoniuk.
