Dorozan brother found guilty of drug possession

One of two Abbotsford brothers charged with a series of Lower Mainland break-ins earlier this year has been found guilty in another case.

Dane Dorozan, 35, was initially charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking stemming from an offence on Dec. 22, 2010, but was found guilty on Dec. 19 of the lesser charge of drug possession.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 13 in Abbotsford provincial court.

Dane still faces charges with his brother Darwin, 36, for allegedly committed in Surrey, 91原创 and White Rock.

The pair were arrested Aug. 15 following an alleged home break-in in South Surrey. Dane was later charged with two counts of break-and-enter, and Darwin was charged with 19 counts of break-and-enter, one count of possession of stolen property, and one count of assault with a weapon.

Dane has previously been convicted of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and break-and-enter.

Darwin鈥檚 previous convictions include possession of stolen property, theft, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and break-and-enter.

The pair鈥檚 next court appearance on the break-in charges is Dec. 29 in Surrey provincial court.
