Robert McFarlane has filed nomination papers, and is seeking a third term as one of the City of 91原创's two trustees on 91原创 Board of Education.
He is currently vice-chair of the Board of Education as well as chair of the audit committee, chair of the finance and facilities committee, chair of the strategic planning committee, and member of the policy committee.
In addition, he is a member of the City of 91原创 Advisory Planning Commission and chairs the seniors housing committee of the Kiwanis Club of Vancouver, which runs three non-profit seniors housing complexes.
McFarlane states "In the past two terms, I am pleased with the significant improvement in the number of students graduating and the growing number of students going onto post-secondary education, but further improvement is necessary. I am excited by the potential for much greater student achievement, following significantly increased investment in learning supports, made possible by greater financial responsibility."
He and his wife have lived in City of 91原创 for the past 26 years. Their two children, former 91原创 students, now attend the University of the Fraser Valley. He works in the financial services industry.
