91原创 Mounties swarmed an apartment building on 201A Avenue, after a suspect in a stolen vehicle case fled inside on Wednesday afternoon.

91原创 residents Margaret and Leroy Flynn were having coffee with their friend Maureen Orosz around 2 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, watching 鈥淒og the Bounty Hunter鈥 pursue fugitives from justice on the television.

Then a real-life fugitive interrupted their day.

鈥淟ook at this coming,鈥 Margaret Flynn said, seconds before a woman hopped over the railing of their apartment balcony and entered through the open patio doors of their suite in the 20100 block of 56 Avenue.

The uninvited guest look scared.

She was tall, about 5鈥 10鈥 with dark eye make-up and she was missing a shoe.

鈥淢y boyfriend鈥檚 after me,鈥 she said.

鈥淲e thought she was legitimate,鈥 Margaret Flynn recalled.

The woman asked to use the bathroom to wash her hands.

A suspicious Orosz suggested she use the sink in the kitchen instead.

The woman then said she was going to look for her lost shoe and bolted from the apartment.

鈥淪he went right out the door [to the interior hallway of the building],鈥 Leroy Flynn said.

鈥淓verything was just so fast鈥

By then, police cars were pulling up outside.

They were pursuing a green Ford pickup stolen earlier in the day from the 5300 block of 203 Street.

The truck was being followed by RCMP when it pulled into the parking lot of the Flynns鈥 apartment building and two occupants bailed out, running in different directions.

A police dog located the woman inside the apartment building.

Shortly after she was arrested, a male suspect was picked up nearby.

It was all over before the television broadcast finished.

Police are recommending charges of possession of stolen property against a 42-year-old man of no fixed address and a 38-year-old woman from 91原创.
