Volunteers have taped posters throughout the 91Ô´´s.

It's been more than three weeks since 80-year-old Shengyun Song went out for a walk in Walnut Grove and vanished without a trace.

Hundreds of posters are up, police have done searches on the ground and by air, volunteers have combed the area and even with a sunny Easter weekend passed, the family of the Chinese national are no closer to understanding what happened or where he is.

Two weeks ago, son Clark Song asked 91Ô´´ RCMP to look into the possibility that his father met with foul play.

Clark points to another missing person’s case in Burnaby – the disappearance of 66-year-old Gui Feng Tong.

She went missing in the Burnaby Mountain area on Jan. 16.

"This is a very sad situation but at this point we don't have any evidence to point to that," said 91Ô´´ RCMP Const. Craig van Herk. Investigators don't believe Mr. Song's disappearance is targeted, he said.

Song was reported missing at 7 p.m. on Thursday March 21 by his son, who says his father left his residence in the 8600 block of 206B Street in North 91Ô´´ to go for a walk alone and did not return home.

The missing man is a resident of China and does not speak any English.

Song is described as an elderly Asian male, with balding white hair, 5'7", 147 lbs.

He was wearing a blue puffy jacket, pants, and brown shoes with a white stripe.
