A 91原创 man is facing 30 charges, including attempted murder of a police officer, after trying to run over the patrol car with a stolen 鈥淢onster鈥� truck in Manitoba.
Joshua Eugene Brockington, 29, resisted arrest and had to be Tasered by police after a bizarre set of events.
Media reports say that Brockington is wanted in several provinces and his girlfriend went into hiding from him.
The mayhem started last week in Portage la Prairie, when RCMP got a call about a man assaulting a homeowner. Brockington is accused of trying to steal a dog from a farm property.
Police said the suspect fled the farm in a monster-style four-wheel-drive pickup truck, after driving it up and onto the homeowner鈥檚 deck and threatening the man and his wife.
RCMP said the monster truck had been stolen in Saskatchewan.
Officers found the truck, but when they tried to arrest the driver, it is alleged he rammed the police cruiser, knocking it into the ditch. He then tried to drive over it.
A police dog and dog handler later chased the suspect through a field and were assaulted when they tried to arrest him.
Brockington doesn鈥檛 appear to have an extensive criminal record in B.C., facing one breach charge in Dawson Creek several years ago.
