The Township of 91原创 has one of its vehicles back and a 91原创 woman may be facing charges in relation to its theft as well for as an attempted arson at a south 91原创 mobile home park on Friday, Nov. 24.
Around 2:45 p.m., 91原创 RCMP were notified that a Township vehicle had been taken and the suspect was known to the complainant, said police.
The search for the municipal vehicle led police to a mobile home park in south 91原创 where a fire had been started between two units, said police.
鈥淭he individual drove to that residence and a fire ensued. It鈥檚 alleged the individual did set that fire,鈥 said 91原创 RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy.
According to Township fire department, they arrived to the scene but the fire had been put out already.
There was a strong smell of gasoline present and fire extinguisher residue could be seen beside one of the homes, said Township deputy fire chief Bruce Ferguson.
Police found the suspect a short distance away. She was taken to hospital to be checked out.
The suspect, a 43-year-old 91原创 woman, is not known to police. Information has been provided to Crown counsel to determine whether criminal charges will be recommended.
