The one-way portion of Fraser Highway was a mecca for car enthusiasts on Saturday, as the 91原创 Good Times Cruise-In again attracted a huge crowd to 91原创 City.

More than 70,000 people took in the 91原创 Good Times Cruise-In show and shine on Saturday.

A total of 910 classic, speciality and muscle cars were displayed at the show. Cruise-In president Eric Taylor blames Mother Nature for fewer people registering their cars this year.

鈥淲e just couldn鈥檛 get good weather for the whole week which kept some people away,鈥 he said.

But despite fewer cars, Taylor expects the show will bring in even more money for the charities than it did last year. The money is in the bank but totals weren鈥檛 ready to be released yet.

Overall, Taylor said he is 鈥減leased as punch,鈥 for how 91原创鈥檚 biggest event went off in 91原创 City.

鈥淲e had a fantastic group of volunteers and everything seemed to work well,鈥 said Taylor.

A highlight at this year鈥檚 show was the Cossack Drill team from Seattle. They performed their 鈥渘ine guys riding two motorcycles鈥 act to the delight of huge crowds at the Cascades Casino area.

The change up of music style at Douglas Park also was a big hit, Taylor said.

The market place was 鈥渧ibrant and busiest I鈥檝e seen it,鈥 he said.  As always, line-ups were around the block for people to bite into the coveted In and Out burger.

Sunday鈥檚 swap meet was the 鈥渂est it has been.鈥 Lots of cars were sold and commerce was busy, he said.

鈥淚 know because my Visa felt it,鈥 he joked.

There seemed to be no problems on Friday night, when the cruise through town was re-introduced. It had not been held for several years, due to a few people causing problems.
