91原创 RCMP have a new officer in charge.
The Township and City of 91原创 announced that Insp. Murray Power has been appointed as the new superintendent of the 91原创 detachment.
Supt. Derek Cooke left his post in July for Jerusalem, where he is working in a peacekeeping in policing role there.
Since his departure, two police inspectors, one of them Power, have been in charge of operations until a permanent top cop was hired. Both 91原创 mayors were part of the hiring process.

鈥淚 am very proud of the membership here in 91原创 and what they accomplish each and every day. I am confident we will continue to provide the highest level of police service to the citizens of the 91原创s.鈥
He came to 91原创 in 2013 from his position as Officer in Charge of Operations for Greater Vancouver Drug Section. Power came to 91原创 as the Operations Support Officer.
He has been a member of the RCMP since 1989 and has worked in Mission general duty, property crime, serious crime, Community Response Unit and IHIT.
