91原创 RCMP are following up on new tips generated from last Saturday鈥檚 search for missing Walnut Grove resident Nicholas Hannon.
On Saturday, police did another search of Derby Reach Regional Park where Hannon鈥檚 car was found parked at the gate Feb. 27.
鈥淥ur main reason for doing another search in the area is that the snow had melted away,鈥 said 91原创 RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Holly Marks.
That search did generate some new tips that officers are currently following up on.
鈥淲e鈥檙e following up on any and all tips we have received,鈥 said Marks.
An entire team is dedicated to the disappearance of Hannon, she said.
鈥淩ight now it remains a mystery as to what happened to Nicholas,鈥 said Marks.
Hannon was last seen on the morning of Feb. 26 by his younger brother.
The 19-year-old was reported missing on Thursday, Feb. 27, after police found his vehicle abandoned at the dead end of McKinnon Crescent in the 10400 block area.
RCMP said the car had been there since at least 7:30 that morning. Police seized the car to look for clues.
Nicholas鈥 dad Craig believes someone had dumped the vehicle there.
鈥淲e don鈥檛 have any inkling as to what has happened to him,鈥 said Craig in an earlier interview.
Nicholas鈥 cellphone has not been used, said Craig.
Nicholas has no history of depression and his family said he was happy when they last saw him.
He鈥檚 a homebody and doesn鈥檛 have a big circle of friends. Craig hired a man with tracking dogs to go through the park but that didn鈥檛 turn up any clues.
Within days of Nicholas going missing, Craig offered a $10,000 reward for the safe return of his son.
