A panel discussion on flooding and the impact of development on the Fort 91原创 flood plain, looking at the issue from various perspectives, takes place tonight (Thursday) at Fort 91原创 Community Hall.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Frank Bucholtz, Times editor.
Several of the questions to be considered are what has changed on the flood plain since a similar forum was held in 2008; how will upstream developments such as that proposed for the Wall farm, and the dumping of fill on farmland, affect the flood plain and are there any new plans for the Fort 91原创 flood plain?
Panelists will be Kevin Larsen of the Township of 91原创, Marvin Rosenau, a BCIT fish and wildlife expert; Fort 91原创 historian Jane Watt and Fort 91原创 farmer Tom Astbury.
The event is sponsored by Fort 91原创 Community Association and Salmon River Enhancement Society.
