A 91原创 police officer and driver of an SUV were both taken to hospital this morning with minor injuries after a crash at the intersection of Glover Road and 91原创 Bypass.
The preliminary investigation suggests the officer was driving westbound on the 91原创 Bypass when he observed a traffic violation. He attempted to negotiate a turn and his vehicle clipped the front end of an eastbound vehicle, said Cpl. Holly Marks.
Currently, Glover Road is closed to southbound traffic.
ICARS (Integrated Collision Analyst Reconstruction Team) is investigating.
