Police are suggesting that 91原创 residents make an inexpensive purchase to help combat a recent spike in the use of pry bars to open locked doors.
Police are recommending the installation of an 鈥榓stragal plate鈥� to protect the locking mechanism. These plates are designed to add security to the door by protecting the lock from being jimmied.
The screw fixings are countersunk in the door鈥檚 edge so they cannot be accessed when the door is closed.
