A 91原创 woman has been arrested for allegedly running an outdoor illicit drug market at Innes Corner Park in 91原创 City.
In response to a fentanyl overdose death in 91原创 and concerns raised about suspicious behaviour in the area, the 91原创 RCMP drug section conducted an investigation to identify individuals responsible for trafficking fentanyl.
On Nov. 24, a female 91原创 resident in her 50鈥檚 was arrested for operating what police described as an 鈥渙pen air drug market.鈥�
Police said she was operating 鈥渁n outdoor distribution point鈥� equipped with bulk amounts of what is believed to be fentanyl, crack cocaine and methamphetamine along with a weigh station for the drugs.

鈥淭he drug market was specifically targeting our community鈥檚 most vulnerable and disadvantaged people,鈥� said RCMP Cpl. Holly Largy.
鈥淚t was operating with complete disregard for the health and safety of those suffering with addiction as well as for those citizens operating lawful businesses in the area.鈥�
Staff Sgt. Loi Ly, 91原创 RCMP investigative services commander, said the 鈥渋nvestigation and subsequent arrest is yet another example of the [drug section] team鈥檚 continued hard work, commitment to public safety and investigative services responsiveness to community concerns,.鈥�
