91原创 RCMP is looking for public鈥檚 help in locating a 91原创 man who was reported missing on Feb. 9.
Jesse Champion, the 36-year-old man, was last seen by his family on Jan. 11 and was reported missing this month as it is unusual for Champion to go without contacting the family for such a long period.
Champion is known to frequent various shelters in Vancouver and Surrey, and was last seen at a bar, The Grand Union, in Vancouver, said his sister, Lindsay Paul.
鈥淚t was his daughter鈥檚 birthday on the 11th, and she turned 11. It is not like him to not call her. He has gone without meeting her for a while, but he always calls. It is just so out of character for him,鈥 she said.
Paul, who lost her younger brother in 2019, and both her mother and father in the past two years, and her father-in-law this year, has had a rough go, for a while.
鈥淚 am the only one from the Champion family left who could check in on him. It is just not like him to not even call me, my husband or his ex-wife. It was my father-in-law鈥檚 funeral the day before yesterday, and he has known my family and my father-in-law for 20 years. I wanted to tell him about the funeral,鈥 she said.
It was Champion鈥檚 birthday on Feb. 13, added Paul. Up until early February, whenever she tried his number, the number was going straight to voicemail but now, she is getting the message 鈥榯his customer is no longer in service鈥.
鈥淣ow I don鈥檛 know what鈥 It is just so hard,鈥 she said.
Champion is 5鈥10鈥 tall, weighs approximately 250 to 260 lbs., has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. He has several tattoos, with a dragon on the right side of his neck, a cross on the left side and a Chinese character on the back.
Anyone with any information that might assist police to locate him, is being urged to call 91原创 RCMP at 604-532-3200.
