The search continues for a man who fell of his paddle board and did not resurface at Alouette Lake last night.

Ridge Meadows RCMP say at approximately 6:50 p.m. on Thursday, July 31 they received a report from Emergency Health Services of a possible drowning at the lake, in Golden Ears Provincial Park.

There was a large response from first responders with police, firefighters, paramedics, and search and rescue personnel at the park.

Online reports say the man had been with two children at South Beach when he went under the water, but the children are reportedly fine. Police confirmed there was just one victim.

Search and Rescue conducted grid searches, however they were unsuccessful in locating the man. Search and Rescue will be continuing efforts to locate the man, and police say "other specialized resources" will be conducting an aerial search as well as a search of the late.
