Slideshow: Pioneer Avenue transforms into Wayward Pines

Agassiz's front street changes to Hollywood set, frame by frame

Matt Dillon was in Agassiz recently, portraying a man who wakes from an accident not knowing where he is. The show, Wayward Pines, was shot in a completely revamped downtown Agassiz.


The first episode is a wrap, and many of the facades have been removed from the set of Wayward Pines, in Agassiz, B.C.

But The Observer took photos almost every day throughout construction of the set, and has created this slideshow to illustrate the massive undertaking of creating a small town, Hollywood style.

Wayward Pines is a one-hour, ten episode drama. The pilot episode, and was directed by M. Night Shyamalan. If the pilot is a success, shooting will take place in Agassiz and Burnaby intermittently throughout October to February.
